Award Winning Stained Glass

Winona has been known as the stained glass capital of the U.S. Associated Crafts & Willet Hauser Architectural Glass is one company still in the business of restoring stained glass windows. They recently received the Preservation Achievement award from the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia for their work in restoring an historic window for a Unitarian church in Philadelphia according to LaCrosse news station 8000. 

The company was selected for their highly skilled team of craftspeople to restore the window that been in storage for the last 28 years. The window had to be rebuilt and the face of Isaiah was brought back though the work of a conservationist painter.

“It was a tremendous opportunity to be able to bring this historic window back into viewing after a 28 year long hiatus,” Krueger said. “An entire generation of this congregation will be able to see this beautiful window in its entirety for the first time.”

The stained glass company has been in producing stained glass windows since 1898 and is one of several companies currently in production.
