Sunday Strolling blog reads like love letter to Winona

Don’t be fooled by the title of the latest blog entry by Sunday Strolling: A Road Trip Journey through the USA; it may read “Top 10 Things to Do in Minneapolis, MN“, but Winona is the city getting much of the viewers’ scroll time. This mom of three from Manhattan, NY has been traveling with her family for the past 10+ months and is writing about their adventures on her website and social media platforms. The family’s recent stay in Minneapolis highlighted many top attractions, but the number one item in her Top 10 list was “Figure out a way to wind up in Winona”.

“Along with Marfa, Texas, and Madrid, New Mexico, Winona ranks high on my list of the USA’s best undiscovered towns,” she writes. “Winona is located in southeast Minnesota sitting beautifully along the Mississippi River while nestled in a scenic bluff country that is loaded up with parks and picturesque perspectives. For a town of roughly twenty-seven thousand people, there is a lot to soak in here. I highly recommend an afternoon exploring this wonderful town.”

The family took in sights on the Sugar Loaf Trail and Garvin Heights Overlook, ate at Bloedow Bakery and Blooming Grounds Coffee House, and strolled our historic downtown Winona streets.

The writer’s Instagram post of Winona scenes also includes: “I think we just discovered the cutest little town in the USA!”

Awww, we’re blushing.
