Winona Farmers’ Market turns 50

The Winona Farmer’s Market has been selling locally grown food and creating community for 50 years. They are open all year round and have a variety of vendors. The summer market is located at Levee Park and features over 30 vendors that sell anything from vegetables to baked goods to meat products. The winter market is located indoors at the East Recreation Center and is open two Saturday mornings a month. The market is also a gathering place and people come not only to buy food but to also connect with the growers and to socialize with other market goers. It also an opportunity for people to learn more about the food vendors and to be educated about local farms and tits efforts in feeding the community.  A 50th celebration is in the works.
