The Refinery, a downtown Winona shop that sells houseware items that are “all things Farmhouse, shabby chic, and cottage, and owned by Jenna Lubinski, was interviewed by Voyage Minnesota. Since she was a child, Lubinski enjoyed decorating and designing a “house into a home.” She finds hidden gems from the mid-century that need some tender loving care and refinishes, updates, and cultivates them into “all things home-cozy.” Her shop is open every other weekend and it gets a “makeover,” by re-arranging current and new items.
She also had the opportunity to use her creative skills to stage a wedding celebration with her items and hopes to curate a collection of pieces to be used by brides and wedding parties to rent and use for those occasions.
“I believe designing a house into a home happens when you fill it with things you love.,” said Lubinksi.
