What brought you to this profession and what do you enjoy most about it?
“I got brought to the profession because I didn’t like working in an office. I needed to be up, running around. I love the connections to people and getting to know them.”
What is the inspiration behind the menu at your restaurant?
“Simple, local and quality inspired from a place in Tacoma, WA called Bar Rosa. They have a really cool cocktail menu and brick oven pizzas—their food and drink quality is elevated, and I drew inspiration from that aesthetic.”
What is a customer favorite on your menu and why?
“Crab artichoke dip and stuffed mushrooms, because they are so tasty and are a unique item to our establishment that you don’t see anywhere else in the area. Also, our blood orange martini! So tasty.”
What is YOUR favorite item on the menu and why?
“My favorite menu item is the spicy pepperoni pizza because it’s sweet and salty. I also like to order a French 75 cocktail; it comes with Empress Gin and has this great lavender color that is unique.”
What is your favorite food or drink from another area establishment and why?
“I love the Casanova drink at NOSH (Scratch Kitchen). I get it every single time, and their scallops are amazing!”
What is one thing about this restaurant that people who have never been here should know?
“The pizza oven weighs 2 tons and we had to re-enforce the floor to hold it. The bricks and parts all come from Italy.”
