Travel writer, Lisa Meyers McClintick, wrote about the Minnesota river historic towns she visited while following the Great River Road. The Great River Road in Minnesota runs from the headwaters in Lake Itasca to the southeast tip of the state. There is a lot of history along the way and a stop in Winona is an experience of history, art, beauty and culture.
